Sync Source: Jira and Salesforce integration

Support works in Salesforce. Engineering works in Jira. Sync Source keeps cases and issues in sync both ways, so nobody has to switch tools to know what’s going on.

Work from whichever side you’re on

Your support agents never leave Salesforce. Your developers never leave Jira. Everything they do shows up on the other side.

In Salesforce

Installed as a Salesforce package

Create a Jira issue from any record

Raise an issue from a Case or another record in one click. Fields map automatically from your admin setup, and issues can be created automatically when a case reaches a certain stage.

Link existing issues

Search Jira from Salesforce and link one or more issues to a record. Preview issue details without logging into Jira.

Add comments and files

Comment on the Jira issue and attach files straight from the Salesforce record.

Connect multiple Jira orgs

Link several Jira orgs to one Salesforce org, and choose which projects and issue types show for each.

Get notified on updates

Record owners hear about status changes and new comments as they happen.

Synced
both ways

In Jira

Our app for Jira, from the Atlassian Marketplace

Create a Salesforce case from an issue

Developers can open a case for the support team without leaving Jira.

Link an existing case

Find the right Salesforce case and link it to the issue, so the customer context travels with the work.

Comment back to Salesforce

Updates written in Jira land on the case, so support can keep the customer informed.

Built so nothing slips through

Syncing data is the easy part. Knowing it worked, and knowing what changed, is what keeps teams aligned.

Bidirectional sync

Changes made in either system update the other automatically. Status, comments and files stay current on both the case and the issue.

Notifications with context

Stakeholders get told what changed, on which record, and how urgent it is, so updates don’t get lost in a busy inbox.

Logs for every sync failure

If a sync fails, it’s logged with the details you need to see what went wrong and fix it, instead of finding out from an unhappy customer.

Reporting in Salesforce

Linked Jira data lives in Salesforce, so you can report on it with the reports and dashboards your team already uses.

Easy to configure

Set up the new issue layout for each project: add, remove and reorder fields, make them required and set default values.

Extend it with Flow or Apex triggers to automate issue creation, search and linking, and mass import existing Jira issues against your cases.

Up and running in four steps

We handle installation and setup for free. Here’s what that looks like.

  1. Install the package

Add Sync Source to your Salesforce org.

  2. Connect Jira

Connect one Jira org, or as many as you need.

  3. Set up your layout

Pick which Jira fields appear on the new issue form, project by project.

  4. Add the Jira app

Install our app in Jira so developers can work with cases too.

Common questions

Which editions does it work with?

Jira Cloud, and Salesforce Enterprise or Unlimited Edition.

Can I connect more than one Jira org?

Yes. One Salesforce org can connect to several Jira orgs, and you choose which projects and issue types show for each.

What happens if a sync fails?

The failure is logged with its details so your admin can see what went wrong and fix it.

Can I link issues that already exist?

Yes. Search and link them one at a time from a record, or mass import existing issues and link them to cases.

Is setup really free?

Yes. We install and configure Sync Source for you on either plan.
