Step 1: Authorization
Access Sync Source: Log in to your Salesforce account and navigate to the Sync Source application.
Enter Jira Credentials: Provide your Jira organization credentials and the URL.
Support for Multiple Orgs: Sync Source allows integration with multiple Jira organizations. You can add credentials for additional organizations as needed.
Step 2: Data Synchronization
Field Mapping:
Define how fields will be mapped between Salesforce (Case) and Jira.
Options:
Case to Jira: Map Salesforce Case fields to Jira Issue fields. Jira to Case: Map Jira Issue fields to Salesforce Case fields. Both Side: Enable bi-directional synchronization to ensure data consistency across both platforms.
Automatic Updates:
Ensure that field updates in Salesforce are automatically reflected in Jira and vice versa. This maintains synchronization without manual intervention.
Step 3: New Issue Layout
Customize Layout:
Set up the layout for creating new issues in Jira directly from Salesforce. Select which fields you want to display during the issue creation process and which ones to exclude.
Integration with Case Page:
The new issue layout will appear on the Case page within Salesforce, allowing users to create and link Jira issues seamlessly.
